FACTORY__________________________________________
All of us who work at PAP have one common goal, which is to design paramotors that preserve –as much as possible- the flying characteristics of the paragliders we fly. Every single PAP paramotor carries within 20 years of development and innovation in the field of powered paragliding, which have taken PAP to a world-leading position in the manufacture of these equipments, partly thanks to the use of high quality materials and processes. At present, our paramotors are produced in the south of Spain,
in the Propulsión Auxiliar Parapente factory located in
Estepona (Malaga).

HISTORY_________________________________________
The first PAP paramotor was designed by Pierre Aubert by the end of 1989. Pierre began to fly in 1986 and by that time he settled in Marbella, Spain. A little later he had a first contact with the newborn sport of powered paragliding in France. The first motors seen then had a high hang-point and were, in general, not very comfortable to pilot. This was what made Pierre design his own Paramotor with a low hang-point, more similar to what he was used to in free flight. PAP was born. This new design featuring a low hang-point, which offered a feeling closer to free flight’s, was a great innovation. That, together with the attraction of this new sport and the interest from the PG professionals in Spain, helped the beginning of the company founded by Pierre Aubert, Marbella Parapente S.L. The first generation of paramotors was called after the motor used, CORSAIR. From 1994 and due to the growing number of orders for PAP paramotors, Pierre began to dedicate exclusively to develop his models. By 2001 the demand was so high that the long waiting lists had a delay of three months. Then, one of PAP's impatient clients, David Bretones, suggested Pierre to make a franchise of the brand in Barcelona, to widen the production and thus stop losing orders. After further in-depth discussions, Guac Motor S.L. was born in February 2002, a PAP factory located in Castelldefels (Catalonia) that produced 10 paramotors in its first month of work. David Bretones, during all these years, continued innovating closely collaborating with Pierre Aubert in the designs of the paraengines, like for example for the fixation of clips to the chassis, or in the present modifications of detachable chassis. On Friday 22nd of August of 2008, David Bretones suffered a fatal accident doing one of the favorite things he liked to do, leaving a deep emptiness in the PAP family. From PAP we will remember the work and fidelity that David Bretones always dedicated to us. At the moment, the factory has become to centralize in the factory of Estepona, Málaga.
